The Mostly True Adventrues of Homer P. Figg by Rodman Philbrick

Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg by Rodman Philbrick

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I can't wait for this book to really come out! It was wonderful! I don't love war stories, but this was a war story. However, it had everything else I love in a book humor, compassion, brotherly love, and suspense! Can't imagine those together check this book out! Plus it had a ton of factual Civil War history in it.
***EDIT**** This is my Good Reads review from back in October. I picked up this book as an ARC from Cover to Cover. I recently saw the book at Barnes and Noble yesterday, so I guess it is in the stores now.****

I heartily agree with your endorsement of Homer P. Figg.
I put it right up there with Bud, Not Buddy. Definitely in the Mark Twain style and so refreshingly original in its voice. I hope Homer gets the attention he deserves.

I feel the same way, but I haven't heard much about it. I really liked it!
