Cybils Nominations

Here are the nomination long lists for the Cybils Awards. I am sorry I haven't talked about it before, but there were TOO MANY posts about it. I didn't figure you would appreciate another. Now you can go to these links and look for books you might be interested in. LOVE IT!

Megan, I'm so happy to have found you. Before I wrote kids books, I taught fifth grade for several years. Then I was a librarian and eventually started an arts-based school.

It's been a great life in education, but there's something about that fifth grade age that can't be beat. They can't decide it they're 3 or 30, and zip between those numbers from moment to moment. Ah, the writing they did, though -- at least the readers. As Jim Trelease says, "Reading is input, writing is output." I'm amazed at your energy to do all this in the blogging world and still be such a great teacher. We need more teachers like you who understand the need for good literature and student choice. Thanks for all you do for kids.
